New York Knicks president of basketball operations Donnie Walsh announced the hiring of Phil Weber and Dan D'Antoni as assistant coaches Friday.
In addition, Herb Williams has been retained to round out the staff for new head coach Mike D'Antoni.
"We have three top quality assistant coaches that will be great assets as we work towards our goal of bringing winning basketball back to New York," Walsh said. "Phil and Dan enjoyed tremendous success with Coach D'Antoni in Phoenix, while Herb has been a great part of our franchise for many years."
Weber spent the past nine seasons as an assistant coach in Phoenix, including 4 1/2 seasons under Mike D'Antoni. Weber previously served as an assistant coach at the University of Florida, Chaminade University and Iona College before joining the Suns in 1999.
D'Antoni, the older brother of Mike D'Antoni, spent the last three seasons as an assistant under his brother in Phoenix.
Williams will return for his eighth season on the Knicks bench.
