Detroit. MI (Sports Network) - New York Yankees infielder Wilson Betemit left Saturday's 5-2 over the Detroit Tigers in the fourth inning with a strained right hamstring.
Betemit, who was activated from the disabled list on Wednesday after missing 17 games with corneal conjunctivitis, slammed an RBI double over the head of centerfielder Curtis Granderson and appeared to pull up after rounding first base.
Morgan Ensberg pinch-ran for Betemit and finished the game at third base.
Betemit is hitting .270 with a home run and two runs batted in through 10 games this season, and was 5-for-12 at the plate since being activated from the disabled list.
