Jets trade Robertson, waive four others

Hempstead, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Jets traded defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson to the Denver Broncos for a conditional draft pick in the 2009 Draft on Thursday.
The six-foot, 310-pound Robertson, who was selected by New York with the fourth overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft, started 75 games for the Jets in five seasons, totaling 319 tackles, 14.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
The Jets also waived running back Alvin Banks, cornerback Manny Collins, linebacker Jerry Mackey and receiver Shaine Smith.
