East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - The Super Bowl champion New York Giants have signed linebacker Danny Clark to an undisclosed contract.
Clark has played with Jacksonville, Oakland, New Orleans and Houston during his eight-year NFL career. He was selected in the seventh round of the 2000 draft by then Jaguars head coach Tom Coughlin.
"We're bringing him in as an outside linebacker," Coughlin said on the Giants' website. "He is a very physical, very versatile player. Over the years, he has been a very good special teams player. Clark is a veteran guy with an outstanding work ethic. He will fit in well with our players in the locker room. He will have an opportunity to compete for a position."
Clark played in 13 games and started eight with the Texans last season. He had 43 tackles, including 34 solo.
The Illinois product has 576 tackles, including 384 solo, with five sacks and two interceptions in 122 NFL games.
